GAYP World Title Match between Ron King (Barbados) and challenger Sergio Scarpetta (Italy) is scheduled to be played at Foggia, Italy on July 5-10, 2014.  Match is scheduled for six days, playing 4 games per day, 2 am games in the morning and 2 pm games in the afternoon, making a 24 game match. (more later)

Both players already played a tied World Championship match (2-2- 20) in 2012,  (2012 King v Scarpetta)

Ron King is undefeated World Champion in GAYP since 1991.  King has held the GAYP World Title for 23 years, defending it many times. He won over James Morrison 4-1-17 in 1991 after Don Lafferty defended his title against Morrison in 1986 by 0-0-24 and 3 years later in 1989 against Lowder by 4-3-16 and retired his GAYP World Title 2 years later and died in 6/7/98.

Sergio Scarpetta won the WCDF World Qualifier in Barbados in 2013 by a huge margin to qualify for his 2nd shot at the title.

Both players recently won their respective National Championships in Italy and Barbados and seem in good shape for a close and exciting!
